Dial in who sees what

A new interface for editing pages makes it easy to limit access to any combination of teams, roles, or, new in this update, team/role pairs:

A screenshot of a selected radio button named "Some teams and roles can see this page and its contents...". Below the radio button is an interface for choosing groups of students (comprised of a team and a role). The first group, Teachers, is not editable. After that, each group is represented by two drop down menus with the word "on" between them. There are two groups selected this way: "Journalists on any team" and "Cabinet Members on USA".

You can also give groups permission to see everything posted on an otherwise limited visibility page:

A screenshot of a selected radio button named "Teammates can only see each other's posts...". Below the radio button it says "and Judges and Teachers can see everything". "Judges" and "Teachers" are highlighted in blue and there is an orange Edit button to the right of the text.

This is a great way to let judges or a control team peek in on what everyone else is up to.

plus...
  • Fixed a bug that could cause a 404 message after renaming a team
  • Improved 'Edit Page' form accessibility
  • Clarified the error message when you try to access a simulation you don't have access to
  • We now explain why a team can't be deleted if a team can't be deleted
  • Performance improved (especially on logout but every page should load a little faster)
